The excitement of Homecoming Weekend on the Mountain just got better with Liberty Athletics set to host its first Liberty Homecoming Golf Tournament.
The fundraising event will be held at the London Downs Golf Club in Forest, Va., on Friday, October 30. Registration for the event runs through October 26.
The tournament will start at 12:30 p.m. and will feature a Captain's Choice scoring format. All proceeds from the event will go directly to support Liberty's men's golf program.
Liberty's 2026 Homecoming Weekend features a packed schedule of events for returning alumni and family, including fall hay rides, the 2026 Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame banquet, a theater performance of The Winter's Tale and the annual Homecoming parade.
The festive weekend will finish off when Liberty welcomes Conference USA foe FIU to Williams Stadium on Saturday, October 31 for an afternoon football game. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
As a team, Liberty men's golf is off to a strong start during the fall portion of the 2026-27 schedule. Liberty walked away with the team title at the Bearcat Invitational in September and had the individual medalist at both the Bearcat Invitational (Michael Lugiano) and the Bryan Bros Collegiate (Austin Krahn).
Event Sponsor: Operation Light Shine
At Operation Light Shine, our mission is simple: to shine a light of hope in the fight against child exploitation and trafficking. We stand in the gap where funding and resources are missing, equipping the heroes on the front lines with the tools, technology, and support they need to protect children and pursue those who harm them.
