Krahn Named CUSA Men’s Golfer of the Week

Just three events into his collegiate golf career and Liberty's Austin Krahn is already winning awards as a member of the Flames' roster.
Today, Krahn was named the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week after taking home medalist honors at the 2026 Bryan Bros Collegiate on Tuesday.
The freshman carded a winning score of 9-under par 204 (65-70-69) at the Solina Golf Club (par 71, 6,888 yards) in West Columbia, S.C.
The native of Christina Lake, British Columbia closed the event with three birdies during his final 10 holes. This allowed him to finish ahead of Ole Miss' Collins Trolio and Arkansas' Erich Fortlage, who carded scores of 8-under par 205.
Krahn's victory allowed the Flames to finish the event in third place, marking the team's second top 3 finish of the fall 2026 season.
Krahn opened the tournament with a season-low 6-under par 65, posting a clean card during the first round with six birdies and 12 pars. His 6-under par 65 and 2-under par 69 (third round) marked the first two sub-70 rounds of the young freshman's collegiate career.
Krahn did most of his scoring on the par-5 holes at the South Carolina tournament, ranking fifth in the field in par-5 scoring (8-under/4.33 scoring average). Krahn also ranked fourth in the field in par-4 scoring (1-under/3.96 scoring average).
Krahn's win marked the 39th individual collegiate medalist honor in Liberty's NCAA Division I program history.
Liberty has recorded back-to-back medalist honors, as junior Michael Lugiano finished tied for first at the Flames' last event (Bearcat Invitational.
