
Flames Tied for Lead at Halted Bryan Bros Collegiate

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – With play halted due to darkness on Monday, Liberty finds itself tied for first place with Ole Miss near the conclusion of Round 2 of the Bryan Bros Collegiate. Play was halted at 7:25 p.m. local time.
Liberty is one of eight teams in the 16-team field who have roughly three holes to conclude their second trip around the Solina Golf Club (par 71, 6,888 yards).
The Flames are tied with Ole Miss with the two programs sitting at 13-under par. They are four shots clear of Clemson (9-under par), five ahead of Arkansas (8-under par) and six shots in front of tournament host South Carolina (7-under par).
Liberty carded the best round during the morning flight, posting an opening round 12-under par 272. Clemson was in second place after the first round following a 10-under par 274.
The Flames' strong play during the first round was paced by Austin Krahn. The freshman signed for a 6-under par 65 and posted a clean card with six birdies and 12 pars.
Krahn (65-70) was able to complete his second round before the horn sounded and is currently tied for first place with South Carolina's Bo Carpenter (67-68) for first place in the 91-man field with a 7-under par 135.
The Flames have four other golfers who are currently inside the top 20 in the individual standings – Noah Maclauchlan (T10 -3), Silas Haarer (T12 -2), Blake Hogan (Individual T19 -1) and Luke Libbey (T19 -1).
Round 2 play is scheduled to resume at 8 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning. Round 3 will begin around 9 a.m. ET with teams going off the No. 1 and No. 10 tees.
