
LA Tech Slips Past Liberty 9-6

The visiting Bulldogs scored three runs on five hits in the first inning and built a 6-1 lead through five innings.
A grand slam by Liberty shortstop Tanner Marsh pulled the Flames to within one run at 6-5 in the seventh inning, only to La Tech answer with three runs in the eighth to put the game out of reach.
Second baseman Easton Swofford had two hits, an RBI and a run scored to lead Liberty.
Marsh's grand slam was his fifth home run of the season.
For the first time this season, Liberty drops its third straight game. The Flames fall to 18-8 in CUSA and 35-16 overall. LA Tech moves to 17-9 in conference play and 31-21 overall.
