
Liberty Hits the Road for USF

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty (4-7) looks to pick up momentum with a trip to Florida this week to meet USF (7-2) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Tampa, Fla. The contest from Corbett Stadium will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Liberty looks to rebound from an 0-2 week at home in conference play. The Lady Flames suffered a narrow 12-11 (OT) loss to Stetson before being ousted 19-7 by Jacksonville.
The Lady Flames are a perfect 4-0 on the road this season. Most recently, Liberty picked up road triumphs at Lindenwood (19-8) and Austin Peay (24-7) to open Atlantic Sun action.
Liberty suffered an 18- 12 loss to South Florida at home last season.

- Nesci leads Liberty with 26 goals and 40 points (second with 13 assists). The Freshman has scored in all but one game this season, including a streak of six straight contests tallying multiple goals (Feb. 28-March 26).
- The Syracuse, N.Y. native is currently on pace (3.64 ppg) to break Katy Pridemore's freshman scoring record, which she set in 2015 (52g, 68p, 3.4 ppg). She currently ranks fourth among Liberty freshmen in program history with 26 goals and 40 points.
- Nesci capitalizes on free-position opportunities, ranking No. 23 in the country, converting at a .615 clip (8-of-13).
- Katie Colavitio has impressed on all three levels of the field. She leads the team with 23 caused turnovers, is second on the team with 22 goals and 26 ground balls, and she is third on the squad with 24 draw controls.
- Liberty leads the country in both caused turnovers per game (16.36) and ranks No. 3 nationally in ground balls per game (20.91)
- Madeleine Klunder leads the team with 25 caused turnovers.
- Colavito (106) and Klunder (103) are nearing becoming second in Liberty program history in career caused turnovers. Carly White (108, 2017-21) currently ranks second behind Brianna McCaffrey (147, 2016-19).
- Klunder currently ranks fifth in program history with 149 ground balls. She needs three to pass Katherine Widrick (152, 2016-19) for fourth and six to succeed Chloe McIntosh (155, 2010-13).
- Liberty has seen split deployment in the draw circle this season. Nina Gray paces the team with 38 draws.
- Midfielder Ava Menna ranks No. 4 in program history with 220 career draw controls. She needs five draws to pass Carly White (224, 2017-21) for third all-time and 13 to pass Brianna McCaffrey (233, 2016-19) for second.
- Goalkeeper Rachel Hines (4-7) has impressed in the crease this season. She carries a 12.81 goals-against average and a .414 save percentage on 248 shots faced. The junior has also tallied six caused turnovers and 17 ground balls this season.
- Hines ranks No. 15 in the country with 96 saves.
