
No. 69 Men’s Tennis to Host No. 56 ODU and Elon

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The No. 69 Liberty men's tennis team (9-9) prepares to welcome No. 56 Old Dominion (15-5) and Elon (4-11) for matches at the Liberty Tennis Complex this weekend. The Flames take on ODU on Thursday at 3 p.m. with the match streamed live on ESPN+. Liberty challenges Elon on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Liberty is coming off a split weekend with mirrored 4-3 outcomes on the road. The Flames topped USF 4-3 with a match-clinching point tied at 3-3, but they fell to FAU 4-3 the next day.
The Flames are 4-12 all-time against Old Dominion, but they own a 3-1 mark in their last four meetings. Liberty owns a 6-11 all-time mark facing Elon and is 4-1 in its last five matches with the Phoenix.
ODU marks the tenth program on the Flames' 2026 schedule that currently carries an ITA national ranking. With the most recent ITA rankings (March 31), they have met No. 18 Auburn, No. 29 Arizona State, No. 32 UC Santa Barbara, No. 33 Princeton, No. 39 Yale, No. 40 Penn, No. 47 Georgia Tech, No. 55 Charlotte and No. 70 USF.
With the CUSA Men's Tennis Championship around the corner (April 17, 19), the Flames are one of three ranked CUSA Men's Tennis programs, including No. 43 Middle Tennessee and No. 75 Jacksonville State.

- Rodrigo Santiago Arraez and Guy Vorwerk (10-3) own the most wins as a pair this spring.
