- The Lady Flames earned a 2-1 series victory over Delaware this past weekend, improving to 9-3 in CUSA play and a tie for second in league standings. On Sunday, Brynn McManus' grand slam put Liberty ahead for good during a five-run sixth inning as the Lady Flames won 9-6. It was Liberty's fourth win this season when trailing in the sixth inning or later.
- North Carolina went 2-2 at its home tournament over the weekend, beating Marist twice while falling to Arizona State two times. The Tar Heels lead the ACC in overall batting average (.382), slugging percentage (.684), on base percentage (.459), runs scored (296) and home runs (74).
- Liberty is 4-3 against North Carolina under current Head Coach Dot Richardson, which included two Lady Flames wins in 2018. The visiting team has won the Liberty-UNC contest each of the last four years.
- Ella Fox, who recently completed a nine-game hitting streak, will face her former team, as she played for North Carolina as a freshman last season. On Feb. 21 against Maryland, Fox faced her sister, Caroline Fox, who is a starting infielder for the Terrapins after transferring from UNC.
- The Lady Flames have turned up the heat during the month of March, posting a 10-5 record while batting .309. After hitting only seven homers in February, Liberty has connected for 22 home runs this month.
- Dani Lee batted .556 (5-for-9) last week, which included a pinch-hit single at Virginia on Wednesday followed by hits in each of her first three career starts. Lee bats .500 (7-for-14) for the season.
- Savannah Jessee bats a team-best .347 for the season, with six homers and 22 RBI, while Ella Fox (.327) leads the Lady Flames with 26 runs scored and six stolen bases. Alexia Carrasquillo (.323) is the team leader in homers (7) and RBI (26), while Maci Strickland bats .287. Brynn McManus (.245) is now tied with Carrasquillo for the team lead with seven home runs.
- Camden Anders (8-2, 3.06 ERA) has gone 6-1 with a 2.31 ERA this month, a stretch which included a no-hitter at Middle Tennessee. Anders has pitched four out of Liberty's six complete games this season, including two last week. Danner Allen (4-1, 5.44) leads the team with 7.39 strikeouts per seven innings, while Gabby Mike (4.16) has started a team-best 10 games this season.
