UNCG Edges Liberty 7-6

LYNCHBURG, VA. – The UNCG Spartans defeated the Liberty Flames 7-6 on Tuesday afternoon at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.

Trailing 4-3 in the top of the seventh inning, the Spartans plated four runs on five hits to take the lead and then held on for the victory.

Liberty designated hitter Jordan Jaffe had two hits, including his second home run of the season, driving in two runs and scoring two runs. Left fielder Nick Barone also collected two hits and two RBI and scored a run.

Liberty falls to 15-9. UNCG moves to 12-14.
