Liberty Strikes in the 10th for 2-0 Win Over Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, GA. – Center fielder Josh Campos belted a home run and designated hitter Jordan Jaffe had an RBI single in the 10th innings to push the Liberty Flames past the Kennesaw State Owls 2-0 in the opening game of a three-game CUSA series Friday night at Mickey Dunn Stadium.
Scoreless after nine innings, Liberty jumped on reliever Harry Cain, who had pitched three scoreless innings entering the 10th inning. Campos launched a 1-2 pitch from the right-hander over the left field wall to put the Flames in front 1-0. Two batters later, right fielder Ryan Drumm dropped a double down the right field line and came around to score Liberty's second run on a single back up the middle by Jaffe.
Flames starter Ben Blair and relievers Tyler August and Josh Swink combined to allow three hits over 10 scoreless innings.
Campos was one of three Flames with two hits in the contest.
Liberty evens its record to 2-2 in CUSA play and 14-7 overall. Kennesaw State drops to 1-3 in CUSA and 9-9 overall.
