Jaffe hit his first home run as a Flame with one aboard to give Liberty the lead in the first inning and knocked in two runs with a single in the second inning. He also scored two runs.
Meanwhile, Zayac allowed two runs on four hits over six innings. He struck out a career-high 10 and did not walk a batter.
Liberty, which bounces back after dropping the first two games of the series by one run each, moves to 13-5 overall and 1-2 in CUSA. Missouri State falls 12-7 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
