- Liberty trailed 6-4 entering the sixth inning. The Lady Flames quickly changed that with a five-run sixth. Brooke Roberts was hit by a pitch to lead off, and Ella Fox drew a one-out walk. Alexia Carrasquillo then blasted a three-run homer, sparking back-to-back-to-back homers as Savannah Jessee and Brynn McManus both went deep.
- Camden Anders earned the victory, pitching around a two-run, seventh-inning homer by Emily LeGrand, sealing the 9-8 win.
- JMU held an 11-5 advantage in hits. The Lady Flames left six runners on base, compared to three stranded by the Dukes. Liberty hit a season-high three homers.
- Anders (3-1) earned the win, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out one in 3 1/3 innings. Danner Allen and Gabby Mike both allowed three runs.
- Payton List (2-6) drew the loss, yielding seven runs on three hits, walking six, hitting five and fanning five in 5 1/3 innings.
- Brynn McManus went 2-for-3 with a homer, one RBI and two runs scored, while Alexia Carrasquillo batted 1-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and one run. Savannah Jessee went 1-for-3 with a homer, one RBI and one run scored.

- Four out of Liberty's eight wins so far this season are of the comeback variety.
- Liberty posted back-to-back-to-back homers for the first time since J'Nae Jefferson, Jessica Moore and Ashley Williams did so against Rhode Island on March 3, 2007.
- Doerr is the first Lady Flame to be hit by two pitches in a game since Rachel Craine against Marshall, Feb. 26, 2023.
