Turning Point
- Liberty scored twice in the top of the first, getting a leadoff double from Ella Fox. Brynn McManus hit a sacrifice fly and Paige Doerr had an RBI double, making it 2-0. Middle Tennessee got two runners on base in the first, but stranded them.
- Allen held the Blue Raiders scoreless throughout, and a seven-run fourth by Liberty made it 10-0.
- Liberty led 9-3 in hits, with the Lady Flames committing the game's lone error. Middle Tennessee left five runners on base, compared to four stranded by Liberty.
- Danner Allen (4-1) tossed her second career shutout, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out a career-high nine.
- Braelyn Hall (4-5) drew the loss, allowing six runs on six hits, walking one and striking out four in 3 1/3 innings. Elle Hildreth and Mary Martinez both pitched in relief.
- Brynn McManus batted 2-for-2 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored. Ella Fox went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, one RBI and two runs scored. Paige Doerr went 1-for-2 with a double, two RBI and one run scored, while Savannah Jessee scored twice.
- Liberty is now 9-4 all-time against Middle Tennessee in softball, including 6-1 since the Lady Flames joining Conference USA.
- Today was Liberty's first run-rule win of the season.
