LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Liberty Flames routed the Hofstra Pride 13-2 in a game halted in the seventh inning due to run rule Saturday at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
The Flames scored five in the first inning and later, sent 11 men to the plate to score eight runs in the fourth inning.
Shortstop Tanner Marsh had two hits, two RBI and scored two runs for the Flames. First baseman Jaxon Sorenson also collected two hits, one a double, and had an RBI and scored two runs for Liberty.
The Flames move their winning streak to four games. Liberty ups its record to 6-3 on the season. Hofstra drops to 0-5.
