
6-Run Eighth Propels Liberty by Hofstra

Flames first baseman Jaxon Sorenson tied the game with his first home run of the year to lead off the home half of the eighth. Liberty later pushed across five two-out runs, highlighted by a bases-clearing double by designated hitter Riley DeCandido, to take a commanding five-run advantage.
Liberty outfielder Nick Barone went 3-for-4 with his first home run of the season in the contest. DeCandido added two hits, three RBI and a run scored for the Flames.
With the win, Liberty extends its winning streak to five games. The Flames move to 7-3 on the season. Hofstra drops to 0-6.
