LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty lacrosse team (0-1) hopes to earn its first win of the season against Davidson (2-0) at home on Sunday at noon from the Liberty Lacrosse Field.
Liberty dropped its season and home opener to No. 8 Johns Hopkins, 17-7, on Saturday.
The Lady Flames have opened the season 0-2 for the last six straight seasons. Eight of those losses came against a ranked opponent, excluding last Saturday's defeat.
Liberty seeks its first-ever triumph against its former Big South foe. Despite not having met since 2014, the Lady Flames are 0-8 all-time against the Wildcats.
Davison earned a 12-5 record last season but was ousted as the No. 3 seed when they fell to No. 6 VCU 16-10 in the A10 championship quarterfinal. The Wildcats have started the 2026 season 2-0 with victories over Wofford (14-5) and Charlotte (15-5).
