
No. 1 Seed Liberty to Begin CUSA Title Defense Against No. 4 Seed LA Tech

Top-seeded Liberty (44-11, 23-3 CUSA) will look to earn back-to-back conference tournament titles at the 2025 CUSA Softball Championship, held Wednesday through Saturday at WKU Softball Complex in Bowling Green, Ky. The Lady Flames will open play in the quarterfinal round on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET (12:30 p.m. local) against No. 4 seed Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs overcame a 4-1 deficit in the seventh inning today, hitting a pair of two-run homers to earn a walk-off 5-4 win over No. 5 seed New Mexico State.

Paige Bachman is 11-3 with a 2.61 ERA overall, tossing a shutout on Friday against FIU. Liberty has not allowed a single run to score in its last 21 2/3 innings pitched.
