McManus Earns CUSA Spring Spirit of Service Award

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Liberty softball redshirt sophomore pitcher Haley McManus has earned a CUSA Spring Spirit of Service Award.
The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service Award is presented three times throughout the season, with Tuesday's honorees representing beach volleyball, outdoor track & field, baseball, softball, women's golf and women's tennis. Recipients are nominated by their institutions.
McManus served as Liberty's SAAC representative this year. She also volunteered with Dollar Makes a Difference, Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat, Chocolate Bingo at Runk & Pratt, Hop on Pop, Play With an Athlete Day, Money Monday, Chat with Career Services and ART Activity.
In the classroom, McManus carries a 3.34 GPA while majoring in social studies education. She redshirted during the 2023-24 academic year at Virginia Tech before transferring to Liberty in the fall of 2024. McManus is a Liberty Dean's List recipient, while also appearing on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
