
Liberty Looks to Wrap Home Season with Pair of ASUN Contests

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Lady Flames lacrosse team (8-5, 3-0 ASUN) looks to put a final stamp on its 2025 regular season home slate, hosting Lindenwood (9-2, 2-1 ASUN) on Thursday and Kennesaw State (5-9, 1-3 ASUN) on Saturday. Both games take place at the Liberty Lacrosse Field and will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with Thursday's tilt starting at noon and Saturday scheduled for an 11 a.m. first draw.
In its final home game on Saturday, Liberty will honor its graduating senior class with 10 players being recognized. Those being honored for their time at Liberty are Brooke Beard, Kate Troutman (returning next season), Mara Tellers, Cami Merkel, Mackenzie Lehman, Taiva Reinertson, Kate Wilson, Taylor Gallarello and Madeleine Klunder (returning next season).
The Lady Flames are coming off a pair of narrow losses, falling 12-10 at Louisville on April 8 and coming up short in their hosting of USF on Sunday. The Lady Flames look to improve on a 4-2 home record.
Liberty can clinch a position in the Atlantic Sun Women's Lacrosse Championship with a victory on Thursday. Lynchburg will be serving as the host site for the event currently set for May 1 and 3. With a 3-0 conference record including victories over Coastal Carolina and Queens, the team is currently tied for first in the league with Jacksonville (7-4, 3-0 ASUN).
The Lady Flames are undefeated all-time against both Lindenwood (2-0) and Kennesaw State (7-0). Liberty topped the Lions 14-10 and bested the Owls 15-12 with both games on the road last spring.
