No. 25 Liberty travels to Charlottesville, Va., for its final nonconference game of the regular season, taking on No. 24 Virginia on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Palmer Park.

- The Lady Flames wrapped up their second straight Conference USA regular-season title, sweeping second-place Louisiana Tech over the weekend. Virginia, who finishes its regular season on Wednesday, sits in seventh place in ACC standings after going 1-2 at Stanford last weekend.
- Liberty earned a thrilling 4-3 win over Virginia on April 8 in Lynchburg, as Brooke Roberts came through with a walk-off two-run double to give the Lady Flames one of their signature wins of the season.
- Virginia enters the week at No. 26 in RPI, followed one spot behind by Liberty at 27.
- Liberty is ranked No. 25 in the Softball America Top 25 this week. Virginia is ranked No. 24 in the D1Softball Top 25 and No. 25 in NFCA poll.

KK Madrey hits .412 with a CUSA-leading 44 stolen bases. 2025 CUSA Preseason Player of the Year Rachel Roupe (.381) leads the CUSA with 18 doubles, 18 homers (tied) and 59 RBI. Oregon State transfers Savanah Whatley (.366) and Paige Doerr (.362) provide offensive punch, with Whatley posting Liberty's first four-hit game of the year on Saturday. Savannah Woodard (.333, 7 HR, 36 RBI) has thrived in the leadoff spot. Brynn McManus (.327, 13 2B, 6 HR, 35 RBI) and Brooke Roberts (.291, 3 HR, 31 RBI) are both strong run producers.
- 2024 NFCA All-Region second team pitcher Elena Escobar is 18-3 with a 2.16 ERA overall and four shutouts, including a stellar 11-0 record and 1.44 ERA in CUSA play. Escobar has been the winning pitcher each of the last four times Liberty has beaten a Top 25 team. Kaylan Yoder (8-4, 2.49) leads CUSA in opponents batting average overall (.187). Paige Bachman is 10-2 with a 2.68 ERA overall after going 1-0 with a save and a 1.62 ERA in the Louisiana Tech series.
