Barone had an RBI double and belted his eighth home run of the season in the contest. The outfielder's two-run home run was part of a three-run fifth inning for the Flames.
Liberty No. 2-4 hitters in the lineup each had two hits in the game. Joining Barone, the Flames' No. 4 hitter, with two hits were Tanner Marsh and Camden Troyer. Marsh scored a run, while Troyer, who hit third in the Liberty lineup for the first time this season, had two doubles, one an RBI two-base hit, and scored twice.
The Flames' pitching duo of Ben Blair and Josh Swink combined to hold Kennesaw State in check for most of the contest. Blair pitched six innings before Swink pitched the final three innings to close out the victory.
