The Lady Flames (36-8) improve to 15-1 in Conference USA play with their fifth straight win, while the Aggies (21-19, 8-9) lost for the fifth game in a row.

Turning Point
- The Lady Flames cashed in on NM State miscues, scoring four total earned runs. Liberty took a 4-0 lead with a four-run second inning before tacking on six in the fourth.
- Yoder quieted the Aggies' bats all game, fashioning the two-hit shutout. KK Madrey robbed Desirae Spearman of a home run with one out in the fifth inning.
- Liberty outhit New Mexico State 13-2 for the game, with the Aggies committing four errors.
- Kaylan Yoder (7-3) tossed her sixth career shutout and first of the season, allowing two hits while walking three and fanning five.
- Jaileen Mancha (1-3) drew the loss, allowing five runs (two earned) on seven hits with one walk in three innings before giving way to Zantelle Rodriguez and Taryn Bennett.
