
Lady Flames Set Off for Final Road Trip of Spring

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty women's tennis team (10-11, 4-1 CUSA) looks to solidify itself as the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Conference USA Tennis Championship on the road taking on Louisiana Tech (13-8, 3-0 CUSA) on Friday at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. ET and Sam Houston (5-9, 0-5 CUSA) on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT.
The Lady Flames are coming off a 4-1 home victory over Western Kentucky on Saturday. The triumph gave Liberty a 6-5 home record to conclude the spring with a 3-0 record outdoors.
Liberty will serve as the host site for both the CUSA Women's and Men's Tennis Championship from April 16-20. The Lady Flames are currently the No. 3 seed in the CUSA standings but could surpass No. 2 seed Louisiana Tech with a victory on Friday.
The Lady Flames currently look to continue its strong play in CUSA matches, currently with an 8-1 mark in regular season meetings. The team owns a 10-2 CUSA record including postseason with both losses against FIU.
The team looks to improve on a 4-6 record on the road with a 3-4 mark outdoors.
Liberty will be meeting Louisiana Tech for the first time in program history and looks to improve a 2-0 record facing Sam Houston.
