
Women’s Tennis Flies South for Pair of Matches in Florida

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lady Flames tennis team (5-8) wraps a stretch of seven consecutive road games with a pair of matches in Tampa, Fla., taking on South Florida (2-9) on Sunday at 12 p.m., and a neutral-site match against Gonzaga (7-4) on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Both matches will be held at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts with Sunday's match streaming on YouTube and gousfbulls.com.
Liberty is coming off a 1-2 weekend with three road matches in as many days. The Lady Flames were upended 4-0 at Charlotte last Friday, narrowly taken down 4-3 in a neutral-site match against No. 64 Tulane on Saturday and topped UNCG 4-2 to wrap the weekend on Sunday.
Freshmen Yu-Yun Chen and Yoanna Radulova each own 7-4 singles records this season, leading the team. The pair have played all their matches between the No. 1 and 3 singles positions.
On the road stretch, Liberty has compiled a 2-3 record and looks to secure a winning record with the matches in Florida.
