
Liberty Opens CUSA Play Hosting Middle Tennessee, UTEP

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Lady Flames (6-10) tennis team opens up Conference USA action with home matchups against Middle Tennessee (10-5) on Friday and UTEP (6-4) on Sunday. Both matches will be played at the Liberty Tennis Complex with Friday's match set for a 3 p.m. first serve and Sunday's match scheduled for a 1 p.m. start. Friday's match facing MTSU will be streamed live on ESPN+ with commentary provided by Noah Frary and former Flame, Shea Thomas.
Liberty is coming off a 5-2 loss at home to Richmond last Sunday. The Lady Flames are 2-2 in their past five matches including a 4-1 victory over Gonzaga (March 11) and a 4-2 triumph at UNCG (March 2).
The Lady Flames look to improve on a 3-5 home record this weekend with its first matches outdoors in Lynchburg this season.
Liberty went 5-0 in CUSA regular season play last season while picking up a 2-1 record at the 2024 CUSA Women's Tennis Championships. The Lady Flames topped both MTSU (April 5) and UTEP (April 12) 4-0 last season.
