Notes and Nuggets
- Mills' 24 points matched her career high from one week earlier against Manhattan in the Navy Classic finale. She became the first Lady Flame to score the winning points during the final second of a game since March 1, when Bella Smuda hit the game winner at Kennesaw State.
- Stout's 22 points set a career high and were just one tally off her career high, as she scored in double figures for the ninth game in a row. The sophomore also dished out a career-high five assists, including the one which set up Mills' game-tying triple.
- Mills and Stout are the first Liberty duo to score 20 points in the same game since March 9, 2024. That day, current assistant Emma Hess (22) and Bella Smuda (21) did so at Western Kentucky.
- Aegisdottir notched all 10 of her points during the fourth quarter, reaching double digits for the first time this season and the seventh time in her career.
- Nwaobi's 12 rebounds paced all players, as she collected 10+ boards for the sixth game in a row.
- Acin totaled a game-high eight assists, giving her a 33-to-10 assist-to-turnover ratio in five games this season, all Liberty victories.
- The Lady Flames trailed 26-14 during the first quarter. The 12-point deficit marks the largest Liberty has overcome to win since the Lady Flames' came back from 14 down to win the 2024-25 regular-season finale over Western Kentucky (March 8, 2025).
- Liberty improves to 3-11 all-time against George Mason with wins in each of the last three meetings. Sunday marked the Commonwealth squads' first matchup since Jan. 15, 2008.
- The Lady Flames' current four-game winning streak includes a pair of victories over A-10 foes. Liberty defeated Duquesne 67-60 at the Navy Classic on Nov. 29.
Liberty will face its second consecutive A-10 opponent on Saturday, when the Lady Flames return home to face Richmond (7-3, 1-0 A-10). Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. at Liberty Arena, and the Commonwealth clash will air on ESPN+.
