Liberty Earns WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll Special Mention

LYNCHBURG, Va. – For the fifth year in a row, the Liberty women's basketball team has earned special mention on the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. The Lady Flames garnered the recognition due to their 3.443 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year.
Under the direction of first-year head coach Alexis Sherard, 11 of Liberty's 12 players recorded GPAs of 3.0 or higher in 2025-26, led by Maleah Alexander's 4.0.
Emmy Stout, who posted a 3.61 GPA for the year, earned both CUSA All-Academic Team and CSC Academic All-District Team recognition.
Liberty has appeared on the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll six times in program history, including 1998-99, 1999-2000, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2015-16.
