CUSA Announces 2026-27 WBB Schedule

LYNCHBURG, Va. – CUSA announced its 2026-27 women's basketball schedule on Thursday, including 18 conference games for each team. Liberty will bookend its fourth season of CUSA action with games against Delaware (Jan. 2 in Newark, Del., and March 6 at Liberty Arena).
Format
CUSA's women's basketball lineup for 2026-27 features 10 teams. Every CUSA squad will face each opponent twice (once home, once away) for a total of 18 conference games.
Road Warriors
For the third straight year and the 11th time in the last 13 seasons (spanning three leagues), Liberty will open conference play on the road (Jan. 2 at Delaware).
The Lady Flames will face a challenging stretch of four consecutive road contests midway through the season, including games in four different states and three different time zones. The road stretch includes visits to Sam Houston (Jan. 28), New Mexico State (Jan. 30), Missouri State (Feb. 4) and FIU (Feb. 6).
Home Sweet Home
For the second season in a row, Liberty will close out the year with three straight home games. The Lady Flames will welcome New Mexico State (Feb. 25), Sam Houston (Feb. 27) and Delaware (March 6) to Liberty Arena to wrap up the regular season.
The Lady Flames are 74-14 during their first six seasons playing at Liberty Arena, including 21-5 in CUSA matchups.
Clashes with the Champions
Missouri State cut down the nets as CUSA champion during its first season as a conference member in 2025-26.
Liberty will square off with the Lady Bears twice in 2026-27, including a matchup during the Lady Flames' first home weekend of CUSA play (Jan. 10) and a visit to Springfield, Mo., to tip off February (Feb. 4).
The Lady Flames were one of only two CUSA teams to defeat Missouri State twice a year ago.
Heading Back to Huntsville
For the fourth year in a row, the CUSA Women's Basketball Championship will be played at Propst Arena in Huntsville, Ala. The event will take place in conjunction with the CUSA Men's Basketball Championship, March 9-13.
