DORAL, Fla. - The Liberty swimming & diving team holds a 121-103 lead over FIU after day one of a two-day dual meet, Friday at Doral Aquatic Center.

The Lady Flames and Panthers finish up this weekend's meet tomorrow at Doral Aquatic Center, with the first event beginning at 10 a.m.

- So. Aly Bozzuto – 50 breaststroke (28.30); 200 breaststroke (2:15.08)
- Fr. Riley Leach – 200 butterfly (2:01.76)
- Fr. Gwyneth Frick – 100 backstroke (54.65)
- So. Natalie Colarossi – 200 freestyle (1:50.65)
- Jr. Shannon Icard – Three-meter diving (6) (265.43)
- 400 freestyle relay – 3:28.23 (Natalie Colarossi – 51.24; Sadie Huenefeld – 51.82; Faith Forsberg – 52.53; Kaycee Cannings – 52.64)
- The Lady Flames won eight out of the 12 events contested tonight, including six individual swimming races, three-meter diving and the 400 freestyle relay. The Panthers claimed victory in three individual races along with the 200 medley relay.
- Aly Bozzuto earned two individual-event victories for the Lady Flames (50 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke).
- A night full of close finishes began with the 200 medley relay, which FIU won by just .09 over Liberty (1:41.14 to 1:41.23).
- Bozzuto edged FIU's Frida Loebersli in the 50 breaststroke, 28.30 to 28.61.
- The 50 free went to FIU's Tawannah McLemore, .02 ahead of Liberty's Kamryn Cannings (23.18 to 23.20).
- In the 50 fly, Pauline Zeller of FIU edged Kamryn Cannings, 24.34 to 24.40.
- The Lady Flames went 1-2-3 in the 500 free (Emma Herrera, Eden Troxell, Kaycee Cannings), while posting 1-2 finishes in both the 100 backstroke (Gwyneth Frick, Malia Francis) and 200 free (Natalie Colarossi, Emma Herrera).
- FIU won the only previous meeting between these two teams, a 234-214 decision over the Lady Flames, Oct. 28-29, 2022 in Miami.
