With the score tied at 3-3, runners on second and third and two out, the Flames could not field a dribbler in front of the plate by Bulldogs left fielder Adarius Myers, allowing Ethan Bates to score the go-ahead run. In the bottom of the inning, Bates allowed the tying run to reach second base with one out but then retired the next two batters to close out the victory.
Liberty took a 3-1 lead with three runs in the fourth inning, only to see Louisiana Tech score two runs in the sixth to tie the contest.
Designated hitter Todd Hudson led Liberty with two hits, an RBI and a run scored.
The Flames drop to 11-11 in CUSA and 22-30 overall on the year. The Bulldogs, the CUSA co-leader, improves to 16-6 in CUSA and 39-15 overall.
