
Louisiana Tech Takes Twin Bill From Liberty to End the Regular Season

In game one, visiting Louisiana Tech jumped out to an 8-2 lead through seven innings, only to see Liberty plate four runs in the eighth inning to close the gap to two runs heading to the ninth. The Flames rallied in the ninth to tie the game at 8-8 and send it to extra innings. The Bulldogs scored four times in the 11th inning to take the contest.
In game two, Louisiana Tech led from start to finish, plating three runs in the first inning. Bulldog pitchers Grant Hbuka and Turner Swistak handcuffed the Flames throughout game two to complete the sweep.
Catcher Macaddin Dye had two hits, including his sixth home run in the contest, and drove in three runs for the Flames in game two. Center fielder Kane Kepley hit a two-run home run, his ninth of the year, and designated hitter Todd Hudson belted his ninth of the season in the contest for Liberty.
Hudson also hit a home run for the Flames' lone run in the second game, his 10th of the season.
Liberty finishes its regular season with an 11-13 in CUSA and 22-32 overall. Louisiana Tech takes all three games of the CUSA series and assures itself at least a tie for first place in the CUSA final regular season standings with an 18-6 in CUSA and 41-15 overall mark.
