
Liberty Secures Critical 14-10 ASUN Victory at Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Lady Flames lacrosse team secured a second consecutive Atlantic Sun contest, topping Lindenwood 14-10 on the road Saturday. The contest was held at Hunter Stadium.
Liberty (6-10, 3-2 ASUN) improves its position in the ASUN standings with Saturday's triumph at Lindenwood (12-4, 2-3 ASUN). The Lady Flames utilized strong second and third quarters to push past the Lions. Olivia Glaze (4 g, 2a), Jordan Sheive (4 g, 2a) and Taiva Reinertson (four goals) paved the way for Liberty. Reinertson recorded her first career hat trick in the contest.
Defender Katleyn Weissend scored her first career goal, tying the game at 2-2 from a free-position attempt on Saturday. The senior registered her first-ever assist against No. 5 Notre Dame on April 11.
Mara Tellers recorded her third straight full 60 minute game on Saturday. The junior made six saves.
At the conclusion of Saturday's ASUN contests, the Lady Flames currently sit at fourth in the ASUN standings with just one conference game remaining.
Liberty improves to 2-0 all-time against Lindenwood and boosts its record to 4-3 on the road this spring.
