
Liberty Uses Dominant Second Quarter to Best Kennesaw State 15-12

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Lady Flames scored six goals in the second quarter to push past Kennesaw State 15-12 on the road Saturday. Liberty outscored the Owls 10-2 between the second and third quarters. The contest was held at Fifth Third Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga.
Liberty (5-10) evens its record in Atlantic Sun play to 2-2 in Saturday's victory over Kennesaw State. The Lady Flames have just two conference matchups remaining at Lindenwood (April 20) and hosting Jacksonville (April 27).
Katie Colavito led the way for Liberty with a career-high six goals. Jordan Sheive followed with a four-point performance (2 g, 2 a).
Liberty took control of the game in the second quarter after entering the frame trailing 6-3. Liberty went on a torrid scoring streak, including an 8-1 stretch between the first and second quarters that led to the Lady Flames holding a 13-8 lead at the conclusion of the third quarter.
The Lady Flames improve to 3-3 on the road this season and move to a perfect 7-0 all-time against Kennesaw State.
