Liberty Distance Runners Post 4 Top-10 Finishes at Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty's distance runners combined to record four top-10 finishes during the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic, Friday evening at the University of Lynchburg's Dr. Jack M. Toms Track.
Two of them came in the invitational men's 5K, courtesy of sophomore Jacob Hess (seventh place, 14:56.43) and freshman Ethan Pedersen (10th, season-best 15:10.62).
Rebecca Brown paced the quintet of Lady Flames in the invitational women's 5K, crossing the line in a personal-best 18:25.19 for seventh.
Freshman Sean Aiken won his heat of the invitational men's mile in 4:17.54, a time which held up for ninth place overall in the event.
Racing unattached, Liberty veterans Adelyn Fairley (4:53.64) and Marie Hostetler (4:56.96) placed 2-4 in the invitational women's mile.

Liberty will complete its busy week of competition with three meets on Saturday, including two in California (Bryan Clay Invitational and Jim Bush Legends Invitational) and one back home in the Commonwealth (Virginia Grand Prix).
