Liberty to Compete at Home 6 Times During 2026-27 Indoor Track Season

LYNCHBURG, Va. – As usual, Liberty will compete at home often during the 2026-27 indoor track & field season. Six meets are scheduled for the Brant Tolsma Indoor Track at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex, beginning with the Liberty Kickoff (Dec. 3-4) and culminating with the 2027 CUSA Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 26-27).
The Flames will additionally host the Liberty Open (Jan. 22-23), the seventh annual Brant Tolsma Elite Invitational Sponsored by Beynon (Jan. 29-30) and the 13th annual Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (Feb. 12-13). Liberty will also compete at its home facility on Jan. 8 at The Burg Open, a meet hosted by the University of Lynchburg.
Liberty is only scheduled to take to the road four times during the regular season. The distance runners will head to Boston for both the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener (Dec. 4-5) and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Feb. 12-13). The Flames will also send groups of athletes to the Virginia Tech Invitational (Jan. 15-16) and Clemson's Tiger Paw Invitational (Feb. 12-13).
For the second year in a row, the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark., March 12-13.
