
Glaze, Colavito Lead Liberty in 20-9 Stomp of San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Lady Flames lacrosse team, headlined by four goals apiece from Olivia Glaze (one assist) and Katie Colavito, handled San Diego State 20-9 on the road, Monday. The game was held at the Aztec Lacrosse Field.
Liberty (3-4) kicked off its two-game road trip trouncing San Diego State (1-7) by 11 goals. The Lady Flames used an eight-goal second quarter, including two scores from Mackenzie Lehman, to push their lead to 13-6 entering the second half. Liberty recorded double-digit shot attempts in each of the first three quarters to continue applying pressure.
Seven Lady Flames recorded at least seven points on Monday, led by Glaze with five points (4 g, 1 a). Six tallied multiple goals in the contest. With 50 shots, Liberty registered its second-highest shot total in a single game this season, with 44 going on goal.
The defense stepped up for Liberty, holding the Aztecs to nine goals on 20 shots.
Sophomore midfielder Kendall Coss scored her first goal of the 2024 season on Monday.
Liberty tied a season high with 20 goals, matching Wednesday's 20-17 home victory over Pitt.
The Lady Flames grab their first victory over San Diego State and are now 1-2 all-time facing the program. Liberty evens its road record to 1-1 in 2024.

The Lady Flames responded with four consecutive goals, all by different scorers, to extend the lead to 11-5. San Diego State added a goal before Kelly Scott and Colavito ended the half with one score each to put the guests ahead by seven, 13-6, at intermission. SDSU never got closer than within seven the rest of the way.
