
Lady Flames Set for Midweek Matches at FIU

Liberty (11-11, 5-5 CUSA) continues its stretch of six matches in nine days, playing at FIU (3-20, 1-9), Tuesday and Wednesday. These matches were postponed earlier this month due to Hurricane Milton.
Team Notes
- Entering the week, Liberty is seventh in Conference USA with a 5-5 record, but can move into a three-way tie for fifth (with Middle Tennessee, Kennesaw State) with two wins at FIU. The Panthers currently sit eighth in league standings at 1-9.
- The Lady Flames opened conference play at 4-0, but have won just one out of their last six matches. Liberty was swept twice at New Mexico State, Friday and Saturday.
- In FIU's last four home matches, the Panthers took defending CUSA champion WKU to five sets twice before splitting a pair of matches with Kennesaw State.
- Liberty senior Kate Gammer ranks third in Conference USA in kills per set (3.95) and points per set (4.51) in conference play.
- Erica Lowery averages 3.92 digs per set in Conference USA matches. She collected her 1,000th career dig on Friday at NM State, doing so in her 10th straight 10-dig match.
- Madison Blane ranks third in CUSA in blocks per set (1.19) posting five or more blocks in eight out of the last 11 matches. She needs 11 more blocks to reach 400 career blocks.
- Liberty (Kate Gammer - 3.51, Kamryn Bacus - 3.05) is the only CUSA team with two players who both average 3.0 kills per set or more this season.
- Sophomore Charli Morris (4.34 assists per set) and freshman Charli Crowson (4.91) share setting duties. Crowson tied a career high with 34 assists, Oct. 19 versus Middle Tennessee.

- Including FIU, Liberty's first six Conference USA opponents have a combined 23-47 league record.The Lady Flames' final three conference opponents are a combined 30-6 in CUSA play.
- October 2024 has been milestone month so far for Liberty Volleyball. On Oct. 13 at Kennesaw State, Kate Gammer scored her 1,000th career kill. On Friday at New Mexico State, Erica Lowery collected her 1,000th career dig. With 11 more blocks, Madison Blane will reach 400 career blocks,
- Liberty has posted 10 or more blocks nine times this season, including 11 on Saturday against Middle Tennessee. The Lady Flames had nine 10-block matches all of last season.
- Seven times this season, and most recently on Oct. 19 at Kennesaw State, three or more Lady Flames have reached double figures in kills in the same match. Liberty is 5-2 in matches where the team has three or more 10-kill players.
