LYNCHBURG, Va. - Middle Tennessee won a pair of two-point decisions in sets one and two on Friday at Liberty before racing to a 25-18 set-three win to complete the sweep (27-25, 25-23, 25-18) at Liberty Arena.
The Blue Raiders improve to 9-12 on the season, including 5-4 in Conference USA play with its third win in a row. Prior to tonight, the Blue Raiders were 0-4 in CUSA away matches this season. The Lady Flames (10-9, 4-3) sustained their third loss in a row, although seven out of their last 10 sets played have been decided by just two points each.

- Liberty had three chances to close out set one, serving for the set at 24-22, 24-23 and 25-24. However, Middle Tennessee fought off all three set points and ended the set on a 3-0 run to win 27-25. The Blue Raiders rallied from a 20-18 deficit to win set two, 25-23.
- The Lady Flames were unable to dig out of an early 8-0 hole in the third, falling 25-18 despite a furious rally.
