
Liberty Men’s Soccer Returns Home for 2 OVC Matches

LYNCHBURG, Va. – After four consecutive road games over 12 days, the Liberty Flames men's soccer team returns to Osborne Stadium for two Ohio Valley Conference matches this weekend.
The Flames (5-5-1, 3-2 OVC) will host the Eastern Illinois Panthers (1-9-1, 0-5) on Thursday at 7 p.m. In 2023, Liberty defeated Eastern Illinois 4-0 in Charleston, Ill., during the regular season, before falling to Panthers on penalty kicks 3-1 in the OVC Quarterfinals.
On Sunday, Head Coach Kelly Findley's team will square off with the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles (2-10-1, 1-3-1 OVC) at Osborne Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Last year, Liberty and Southern Indiana played to a 1-1 tie in Evansville, Ind.
Liberty will play its first home game since defeating Western Illinois 7-1 at Osborne Stadium on Sept. 28 on Thursday. The Flames went 2-2 on their four-game conference road swing and have one away contest remaining during the regular season.
