LYNCHBURG, Va. – After completing two shutouts on the road last week, Liberty's defender Lauren Littleton and goalkeeper Grace Workman were honored with selections as the Conference USA Player of the Week at their positions, the conference announced Tuesday.

Liberty received critical road results last week, topping Sam Houston 1-0 on Thursday and topping Louisiana Tech 2-0 on Sunday. Defense and goalkeeping were a big piece of both shutout victories, restricting opponents to five total shots on goal across both contests. The Lady Flames lead CUSA with eight shutouts this season.

The Lady Flames receive their fifth and sixth CUSA Player of the Week honors, ranking second in the conference. Littleton received her second CUSA Player of the Week honor. She also received the recognition on Sept. 10. Workman garnered her first-ever CUSA Goalkeeper of the Week award.

Liberty has now received a CUSA-leading three Defensive Player of the Week recognitions after Kayla Magee (Aug. 20) and Littleton (Sept. 10) were honored. The Lady Flames earned their second CUSA Goalkeeper of the Week recognition after Peyton Huber was honored on Sept. 3. Liberty leads CUSA with a 0.69 goals-against average (GAA) this season.

Littleton has started every game for Liberty's backline and has played a team-leading 1,362 minutes this season. The sophomore also recorded an assist on Sunday, serving a long ball that led to Ivy Garner's second goal.

Workman (8-1-2) played all 90 minutes in Thursday's 1-0 shutout win at Sam Houston. The redshirt sophomore started Sunday's 2-0 clean sheet against Louisiana Tech on Sunday. Workman leads CUSA with a 0.47 GAA and a .818 save percentage.
