- The Lady Flames enter the week as one of 33 unbeaten teams in NCAA Division I volleyball. Liberty's best start to a season came in 2008, when the Lady Flames started out with eight straight wins. Liberty won each of its first 10 sets this season before dropping set two of a 3-2 win over High Point last Thursday.
- Liberty will be looking for its first win over a Top 25 opponent in program history. Its most recent ranked foe was No. 11 Florida, which swept Liberty Sept. 20, 2019. Liberty has won three sets against Top 25 teams, falling 3-1 to No. 7 California in 2007 and to No. 19 Kansas State and No. 4 Nebraska in 2008.
- Kamryn Bacus, the MVP of last week's Black Knights Invitational, was named CUSA Player of the Week on Monday. She leads CUSA in kills per set (4.57 - 16th nationally) and points per set (5.40 - 13th in nation).
- Madison Blane was named CUSA Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. She paces all CUSA players in both blocks per set (1.67 - 9th nationally) and hitting percentage (.506 - 12th nationally).
- 2022 ASUN Setter of the Year Delaney Dilfer was named CUSA Setter of the Week on Aug. 28. She has been named to the All-Tournament Team both weeks this season.
- Liberty has reached double digits in blocks in three out of its last four matches and ranks 17th in the nation with 2.95 blocks per set.
