TULSA, Okla. – The Flames tennis team secured two victories from Rafael Marques Da Silva and Luis Felipe Miguel at the ITA Men's All-American Championships on Saturday.
Four total Flames were invited to the event this week along with Deji Thomas-Smith and Thando Longwe-Smit.
Marques Da Silva took down Indiana's Ekansh Kumar 6-3, 6-4 to open pre-qualifying play today. This is the senior's third All-American event.
Felipe Miguel added his victory over Nebraska's Lars Johann in his first-ever ITA All-American Championship event.
Longwe-Smit and Thomas-Smith will both play in the consolation side of the bracket after recording losses today.
Three other Flames played today at the Universal Tennis College Circuit Event at William & Mary.
