
Flames Receive Five Inclusions in CUSA Postseason Awards

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Flames men's tennis team had five athletes featured in the 2026 Conference USA Men's Tennis Postseason awards, the conference announced Tuesday.
Liberty's No. 1 doubles pair of Benjamin Sparks and David Ekpenyong were named to the All-Conference Doubles first team. The No. 2 pair of Rodrigo Santiago Arraez and Guy Vorwerk was chosen to the All-Conference Doubles second team.
Three Flames, Arraez, Chase Robinson and Sparks were named to the CUSA All-Conference Singles second team.
Robinson is the only Flame to receive an All-Conference selection for a second time. The redshirt junior was previously on the All-Conference Singles second team in 2024.
Liberty finished the season with a 14-10 record and a runner-up finish in the 2026 CUSA Championship.

- Finished the year with an 11-10 singles record
- Began the year in the No. 1 singles position (5-7) before wrapping the season in the No. 3 slot (4-1)
- Named the CUSA Athlete of the Week on Feb. 11
- Topped Auburn's No. 36 Billy Blaydes 3-6, 7-6 (5), 1-0 (2)
Benjamin Sparks—Redshirt Freshman—All-Conference Singles Second Team
- Totaled an 11-10 record, while finishing the season in the No. 2 singles position and the No. 1 doubles slot
- Sported a 3-5 mark at No. 2 singles, 2-0 at No. 3 and 5-5 at No. 4
- Boasts a 15-6 doubles record with an 8-4 record at No. 1 and a 5-2 mark at No. 2
Rodrigo Santiago Arraez/Guy Vorwerk—All-Conference Doubles Second Team
- Led Liberty pairings with a 13-5 record, including a 1-1 mark in the CUSA Championship.
- Sport a 4-1 mark at No. 2 doubles and a 7-2 record at No. 3
