
Holland Leads Liberty to 2-0 Shutout at Home over Tennessee Tech, Improve to 3-0

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lady Flames soccer team dominated possession to take down Tennessee Tech 2-0, Friday evening at Osborne Stadium.
Midfielder Saydie Holland scored the opening goal in the 69th minute and assisted on a goal by freshman Katy Gregson to seal the game.
Liberty controlled possession throughout the match, spending nearly 75 percent of the game in the attacking zone. The Lady Flames registered 17 shots in the contest and held the Golden Eagles to just two.
To open the scoring, Holland deposited a cross from Claire Valentine. The ball bounced around in the penalty box until it found Holland's right foot and the back of the net.
In the 85th minute, Liberty passed out of a corner that defender Haleigh Arostegui took near the corner of the 18-yard box to put a low cross through the middle. Holland redirected the pass right to Gregson's left foot to push the lead to 2-0.
