The Virginia Tech Hokies defeated the Liberty Flames 14-1 in seven innings in the final midweek contest of the regular season at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium, Tuesday.
The Hokies never trailed in the game, taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
First baseman Brayden Horton hit his fifth home run to account for Liberty’s only run.
The Flames drop to 22-26 on the season. The Hokies move to 29-16.
