
Liberty Falls to No. 12 East Carolina 10-2 in Game 1

The No. 12 East Carolina Pirates downed the Liberty Flames 10-2, Saturday afternoon in the first game of a doubleheader at Clark-LeClair Stadium.
The Pirates led from start to finish in the contest, jumping out to a 2-0 advantage in the first inning.
Liberty designated hitter Gray Betts had two hits and walked in the game. Catcher Three Hillier and Jaylen Guy also had two hits each for the Flames.
Liberty drops to 7-7 on the season. East Carolina wins its fifth straight game and moves to 11-3.
