• The Liberty Flames host the Duke Blue Devils at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium on Tuesday and then travel to Charlottesville,
Va., for a game against the No. 10 Virginia Cavaliers at Disharoon Park.
• Both games will be the second meeting of the year for the Flames with both teams. Last Tuesday, Liberty downed Duke at Jack Coombs Field 17-7. Virginia defeated Liberty in a slugfest at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium 14-12 on March 18.
• Liberty enters the week having won 13 of its last 15 games. The Flames have posted a 6-3 record in midweek contests, winning three straight on the road, defeating NC State, Virginia Tech and Duke.
• This past weekend, Liberty won the series opener and the series finale at Dallas Baptist to take the three-game CUSA series. With the wins, the Flames moved to 13-5 in conference play and into sole possession of third place in the league standings. Liberty also upped its overall record to 28-11.
• The Flames are 14-7 at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium this season. Liberty has won five of its last six games at home.Meanwhile, the Flames have a 14-4 road record, the fifth-best in the country. Liberty has won eight of its last nine road contests.
• Liberty head coach Bradley LeCroy is in his second season. LeCroy has led the Flames to a 58-38 record. LeCroy, who has been a head coach for four years, captured his 100th career coaching victory with Liberty's 10-7 victory over Hofstra on March 1.
Barone Breaks OutÂ
• Nick Barone had quite the month of March. The left fielder hit a team-leading .348, driving in 17 runs and scoring 17 runs.
• Barone went 14-for-14 in stolen bases during March and enters the week tied for eighth in CUSA with 15.
• Barone followed his March efforts by posting an .800 slugging percentage and driving in 20 of his 37 RBI in 11 games during April. 10 of his 14 hits have been for extra bases - four
doubles and six home runs.
• The outfielder began April by blasting two home runs in the Flames' sweep at Western Kentucky, April 2-4. On April 4, the outfielder belted a grand slam in the ninth inning to tie the game at 5-5 during
Liberty's six-run inning for a come-from-behind 6-5 win.
• The outfielder also hit three home runs and had six RBI in Liberty's 17-7 win over Duke at Jack Coombs Field on April 14.
 • For the season, Barone has hit .309 with a team-high 37 RBI and 32 runs scored. He has hit eight home runs. The senior is ninth in CUSA with a .583 slugging percentage and tied for eighth in RBI.
Marsh Marches On
• Liberty starting shortstop Tanner Marsh has been one of the Flames' top offensive threats in 2026.
• The junior has sparked the Liberty offense, leading the Flames with a .365 batting average and 45 runs scored. Liberty's leadoff hitter also leads in hits with 58, a .461
on-base percentage and an OPS of 1.021.
• Marsh has 33 RBI and a slugging percentage with a .560.Â
• The infielder is among the CUSA leaders in several offensive categories. He enters the week among the leaders in batting average (4th), runs scored (tied-1st), hits (1st),
triples (1st), on-base percentage (9th), OPS (7th), walks (tied - 9th) and stolen bases (tied - 4th).
• The infielder has had a 15-game hitting streak, the longest streak of his career earlier in the season and reached base in each of the first 18 games. He enters Tuesday's game
having reached base safely in 20 consecutive contests.
• Defensively, he has continued his strong play, committing five errors in 157 chances for a .968 fielding percentage.
• Marsh, along with right-handed pitcher Ben Blair, was named to the 2026 CUSA Presea-son All-Conference Team.

• Cooper Harrington has stabilized the backend of the Liberty bullpen. He enters the week, having earned a save in seven of his last eight save attempts. The right-hander earned his seventh save of the year on Sunday with a scoreless ninth inning in Liberty's 9-8 win at Dallas Baptist.
• Harrington enters the week third in CUSA with seven saves. He is one save shy of joining Jonathan Schnieder (2002) and Doug Smith (1980) for sixth on the Liberty single-season save list with eight.
• In 13 relief appearances, Harrington has a 1-1 record with a 3.91 ERA over 25 1/3 innings. He has struck out 34 and walked six. The sophomore enters the week with 12.09 strikeouts per nine innings.Â
