Following the result, Liberty moves to 13-2-1 overall and 4-2-1 (13 points) in the Conference USA standings.
The two squads played to a scoreless tie in the first half. The Lady Toppers jumped out ahead during the 51st minute on a Katie Erwin score that was initially saved by Liberty goalkeeper Ainsley Leja. The save deflected off the left post and rebounded directly back to Erwin.

"I give them all of the credit. They made the critical plays in the critical moments of the game, and we didn't. That was the difference tonight."
