Indiana closes out the season-opening Hoosier Invitational with an 0-2 mark. Sunday's meeting between the Lady Flames and Hoosiers was the first-ever field hockey game between the two schools.

Turning Point
After failing to record a shot in the opening quarter, Liberty capitalized on its first penalty corner of the day for a second straight afternoon. Following an insert from Pima Iturraspe and stick stop from Reagan Underwood, Daniella Rhodes swept a powerful shot into the left corner of the cage at the 17:00 mark to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. The Lady Flames led 1-0 at the break after a half in which both teams only attempted one shot.
Rhodes continued her spectacular start to the season with a third quarter goal (39:11 mark), her fourth of the season. The senior forward received a Mackinzie Thompson pass, entered the left side of the circle and dribbled towards the goal. Rhodes lifted a ball onto her stick and batted it past IU goalkeeper Arabella Loveridge into the left side for a 2-0 Liberty edge.
