Liberty's Cora Duininck has been named to the 2020-21 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) University Division All-State Second Team.
This is the second time Duininck has been named to the VaSID All-State Second Team in her career, as she previously received the honor in 2017. Duininck is just one of two players from Liberty to receive the VaSID honor in the last six seasons.
Duininck has had one of the most impressive resumes in program history as Duininck earned all-conference honors in all four seasons at Liberty. Duininck has had a sensational senior season where she has played and started in all 17 games at centerback. Duininck has led a backline that posted eight shutouts, including not allowing a goal in the last three games as Liberty claimed the ASUN Championship. Duininck scored one goal this season and has spearheaded a backline that has limited 13 opponents to one goal or less this season. As an ASUN Women's Soccer All-Academic Team honoree, Duininck posted a 3.81 GPA, majoring in biomedical sciences with minors in psychology and global studies. Duininck also has a graduate certificate in global health.
