To kick off its three-game road trip, Liberty faced George Washington in the Colonials' home opener. After the game was tied at half, a second half surge of offense by George Washington propelled them to a 3-1 victory. Liberty falls to 1-3-1 this season while George Washington improves to 2-1-0.

Turning Point
The game was tied going into halftime after Kasey Jamieson knotted the game at 1-1 in the 24th minute with her first career goal. George Washington came out in the second half and applied heavy pressure on Liberty's backline as they scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Jamieson scored her second goal against the Colonials late in the second half, but the comeback came up short as GW pulled out the victory.
